In contrast to switching power supplies, linear power supplies generate noise that is primarily low-frequency and consistent, which the human ear is less sensitive to. On the other hand, switching power supply noise occurs at higher frequencies and can easily interfere with the analog components of audio circuits through radiation, directly affecting sound quality. This noise can also indirectly influence the digital side of audio circuits, further degrading the overall audio experience.
Because the low-frequency noise in linear power supplies is consistent, it can be effectively and accurately filtered out.
