    With its EM series, Shanling aims to deliver a comprehensive network playback solution that excels both for headphone use and in a dedicated Hi-Fi setup. The EM7, an upgraded version of the EM5, takes performance and functionality even further.

    The EM7’s conversion section features an ESS ES9038Pro DAC, with eight channels powering a fully balanced amplifier built on a proven OP+BUF architecture. Designed specifically for the EM7, this amplifier is perfectly matched to the chosen DAC and provides high power output for demanding headphones.

    For network playback, the EM7 runs on a custom Android operating system, offering access to a wide range of streaming services, the ability to stream music from your local network, DLNA and AirPlay support, Bluetooth reception, and playback from a Micro SD card or USB storage device. All functions are managed by the Android Global Lossless Output (AGLO) system, ensuring top-tier audio performance. The EM7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor for smooth operation, and the free Eddict Player mobile app provides full remote control of the device.

    One of the standout features of the EM7 is its new 60-degree tilting touchscreen, which is larger and boasts a 1080p resolution, making it ideal for both desktop and Hi-Fi rack setups.

    To minimize interference, the DAC and amplification sections are completely isolated from the software section, each with its own power supply, and the analog section uses a low-noise Noratel toroidal transformer.

    The Shanling EM7 also offers a wide range of connectivity options to meet most needs. Along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the device has USB-A, USB-B, RJ45 Ethernet, coaxial, and optical input ports. For outputs, it includes coaxial, optical, single-ended RCA, and balanced XLR. The front panel features various headphone connections, including XLR 4-pin and 4.4mm jacks for balanced output, as well as 6.35mm and 3.5mm jacks for single-ended output.

    In essence, the EM7 is designed to be a versatile all-in-one audio system, providing all the features one could want in a comprehensive audio solution.
