    For discerning vinyl enthusiasts, Cayin has created the CS-6PH tube phono preamplifier, designed to deliver superior sound performance with two phono inputs that accommodate both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges. This versatility allows users to connect multi-arm turntables featuring different pickups or two separate turntables, each with its own MM or MC system. Input selection is conveniently managed via the durable aluminum front panel.

    Selected Tubes for Superior Performance:
    The CS-6PH utilizes two Electro Harmonix 6922 tubes for the MC gain stage, while two JJ Electronics ECC83 tubes handle the MM gain with high-precision RIAA equalization. The output stage is powered by two 12AT7 tubes, and voltage rectification is managed by two RCA 22DE4 tubes, reducing residual ripple for a cleaner, more stable sound.

    Customizable Gain:
    Located on the front panel, the three-position LOW/MED/HIGH gain switch allows users to adjust the gain between 40 dB and 65 dB. The 40 dB setting is ideal for moving magnet cartridges, while the higher gain settings (57 dB, 61 dB, and 65 dB) cater to moving coil cartridges, ensuring optimal performance for a range of systems.

    Adjustable Input Impedance and Capacitance:
    The CS-6PH is factory set to 40 dB and 47kΩ/47pF for MM cartridges. Users can fine-tune the capacitance for MM systems by using the CAP switch to select between 47pF or 100pF. The input impedance for MC cartridges is fully adjustable through the impedance selector switch, which offers five settings: 47Ω, 100Ω, 200Ω, 470Ω, and 1000Ω. Additionally, a low-pass filter, activated via the rumble switch, helps prevent distortion from warped records, reducing low-frequency rumble.

    Versatile Outputs:
    The Cayin CS-6PH provides both balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, allowing for flexible connectivity with various amplifiers.

    Drawing on over 25 years of experience in tube amplifier design, Cayin has crafted its own EI power transformer for the CS-6PH. Paired with low-noise voltage regulation, this design ensures the unit delivers pure, stable amplification with minimal noise interference.

    All settings on the CS-6PH can be easily adjusted through front-panel switches, making it simple for users to operate. The preamp remembers the last settings after being powered off and automatically restores them upon switching back on.

After a 60-second warm-up period, the CS-6PH stabilizes and operates optimally, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound.
