Partner at Montreal office, Mélissa is also Director of TCJ's business law team. She was involved with the TCJ Board of Directors from January 1, 2014 until January 1, 2022.
Mélissa practices in mergers and acquisitions, including business transfers, whether intergenerational or to key employees, third parties and/or venture capital funds. She also advises entrepreneurs integrating investors into their shareholding, whether private or institutional investors.
Her practice includes drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and various other business contracts, executing and implementing corporate structures and carrying out major corporate reorganizations.

Professional activities
I have been involved in several large-scale transactions over the years, particularly:
- in numerous transactions in the agricultural and agri-food industry, including asset or share purchases or sales, family succession planning, purchases or sales to competitors, and even asset acquisitions by vesting order;
- in a major sale of shares in the health sector to a company in the same sector;
- Managing buy-outs, particularly in the manufacturing and construction sectors;
- in numerous files that included venture capitalists or investment funds as buyers, sellers and/or investors;
- in sales of businesses to publicly traded companies, particularly in the computer industry and in the printing and publishing industry;
- large-scale corporate reorganizations, business start-ups, negotiations of complex shareholder agreements and exit strategies.

Social Involvement
I find it important to be involved in the community and, as such I am involved in different causes that are close to my heart. In particular, I sit on the Board of Directors of the Montérégie Youth Center Foundation and in the past, I sat on various boards of non-profit organizations.
